Peer Educators

Peer Educators volunteer to educate our campus about effective consent, intervention techniques, culture change, and support for those who've experienced sexual violence. As a Peer Educator, you will conduct  Prevention Education Presentations to inform and engage students on these important topics.

Peer Educator applications for the 2023-2024 school year will open in spring of 2023.

To become a Peer Educator, a student must fill out an application and interview for the position. We begin recruitment during the spring semester. Check back or follow our social media (@okstate1is2many) to stay updated when applications open.

Meet our Peer Educators

Sexual violence prevention and education is a cause I am quite passionate for and have been searching for ways to become involved on campus. Over my last few years as a college student, I have witnessed first hand the difference awareness of this topic can make in an individual and want to promote a positive culture of consent and sexual health here at Oklahoma State University.

I became a peer educator to serve as a role model for males wanting to step up and do their part for spreading awareness of sexual violence.

The peer educator program is necessary for our campus because of rape culture. Even though we’d like to believe it is not here, it is. So it is crucial that our peers are educated on matters around sexual violence and more.

I want to educate students about consent and how to be safe overall. I don't want my peers and people younger to be stuck in a situation like sexual violence, it's crucial for peer educators to step in and to prevent this from happening.

I would like to show people that it is not just women that care about sexual violence. I care and other men should as well. I wish to help those around me overcome the abuse/trauma they have endured.
