Prevention Education Presentations
In addition to the required online training for every student, 1 is 2 Many offers research-based Prevention Education Presentations to any group upon request. These presentations are tailored to college students and presented by our Peer Educators.
Our presentations facilitate students to become active bystanders and leaders on OSU's campus. Each presentation lasts about 45 minutes and involves activities and videos on a variety of topics, depending on the presentation. Presentations can also be tailored for any group or topic, as well as shortened if needed.
Available Presentations
Cowboy Culture
Our most popular presentation walks students through the importance of obtaining and
practicing effective consent, supporting a friend who may have experienced sexual
violence, and how to successfully intervene in a harmful situation.
Social Norms
This interactive, discussion-based activity allows students to think about the way
their views about sexual violence have been shaped by society and social norms. Students
will also begin to unpack ways that they can "unlearn" these views and beliefs.
Totally Taboo
A jeopardy-style, interactive game is perfect for a competitive crowd that wants to
test their knowledge about consent and sexual violence.
Supporting Students
This presentation is specifically designed for faculty and staff to feel more confident
in their role as they respond to students who may have experienced sexual violence.
This is great for a staff meeting, retreat, or in-service.
