Sexual Violence Prevention Educator Internship
The sexual violence prevention educator position is an undergraduate internship under the supervision of the 1 is 2 Many Coordinator in the office of Student Support & Conduct. This position is a semester or a year appointment depending on the needs of both the student and office.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and implement a variety of prevention education outreach programs, presentations and the 1 is 2 Many campaign regarding sexual violence.
- Assist in organizing and working with peer educators and Student Advisory
Board for 1 is 2 Many. - Responsible for researching and developing evidence-informed educational outreach programs directed toward the college community.
- Assess effectiveness of outreach efforts.
- Collaborate with campus partners regarding sexual violence awareness and prevention education.
- Assist with creating professional yet relatable content for social media sites.
- Maintain very detailed records in every area of responsibility.
- Prepare professional correspondence for the office.
- Assist in office tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering the phone, and making copies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Interest in sexual violence prevention/awareness.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work and collaborate with diverse groups.
