Position Overview
Oklahoma State University takes acts of sexual violence extremely seriously and believes
that 1 victim is 2 many. The university invites all members of the campus community
to be part of the effort to maintain a safe and productive environment in which to
live, learn, and be successful by committing to end sexual violence and sexual harassment.
It is important for members of our community to understand and receive consent, intervene
by being an active bystander when necessary, and support victims of sexual violence.
The intern will provide support in research, assessment, programming, and overall
strategic planning implementation for 1 is 2 Many. Topics within prevention include
dating violence, domestic violence, sexual misconduct, sexual harassment, and stalking
as well as bystander
intervention and other related topics.
Responsibilities

- Assist with 1 is 2 Many communication and marketing efforts, including social media campaigns, wide-spread communications, etc.
- Assist with in-person trainings and presentations, both scheduling and coordinating the facilitators. Opportunities to lead trainings and presentations may be possible depending on availability and intern interest.
- Contribute to progressing 1 is 2 Many strategic goals through program assessment. Update annual report throughout the year to increase transparency of 1 is 2 Many programming.
- Collaborate with and support other offices’ programming efforts related to sexual violence and sexual health.
- Perform other duties as assigned and support the Campus Life, Student Conduct, and 1 is 2 Many departments.
Position Requirements:
- 3.0 GPA prior to enrollment and maintained during employment
- Full-time enrollment in Fall 2025 and Spring 2026
- Availablity to work 10 hours/week during academic year
- Dates of employment are: August 18 - December 12, 2025 and January 5 - May 8, 2026 with observed Fall, Winter, and Spring breaks.
- Preferred areas of study: Human Development & Family Science, Psychology, Sociology, Communications, Marketing, Public Health, Education, or related fields.

- Communicate effectively through writing – including reports, emails, and marketing efforts
- Manage time and tasks effectively through prioritization
- Think creatively about programming and prevention efforts to introduce new ideas
